Harlan Elementary 1st and 2nd grade students recently participated in the Plan Ahead Smiles program. Dental Hygienist Tracy Laughner presented a program focusing on the importance of good dental hygiene and oral health. Each group of students were excited to participate in the program and came away with some great information to help them take care of their teeth. They really left the program with a SMILE on their faces. 😁

🎄Christmas Spirit Days at HES begin tomorrow! It's the most wonderful time of the year 🎶🎶

On Monday, November 20th, and Tuesday, November 21st, the Harlan Middle School Players performed their first-ever show, Gravestone Manor. Miss Kat’s 5th, 6th, and 7th period classes put on a wonderful show filled with spooky yet hilarious skits. Thank you to everyone who helped with supplying costumes, props, and set pieces! Make sure to keep the Harlan Middle School Players on your radar because they are already planning their Spring show! ✨✨

It's the most wonderful time of the year! We are ready for all things Christmas at Harlan Elementary! Spirit days begin Dec. 1st! 🎄🎄

From the "Family of Dragons" we want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving Day. Of the many things to be grateful for today, we are especially thankful for our wonderful Green Dragon school community. Without our dedicated students and staff, the magic would not be possible!

HES Unite Club helped sponsor a canned food drive for Christ Hands. The school was able to raise almost 500 canned goods! 🥫
Our first-grade students raised the most cans and will receive a PIZZA PARTY!! Way to go First Grade for raising 137 cans! 🐉🐉

A kaleidoscope of color and imagination filled the sky as Harlan Elementary students lined the streets to walk in our annual Balloons Over Harlan parade. Students read Melissa Sweet’s book, “Balloons over Broadway” and worked hard to complete STEM projects in their classrooms. Each class created a thematic balloon based on specific book characters from their favorite stories. Students walked to display their balloons for family and friends. It was a great day!! 🎈🎈

Reminder: there will be no Dragons Beyond the Bell today. The Boys and Girls Club is also closed today.
