Last week was "Out of this World"! Visiting the Challenger Center and getting to experience Mission Mars was stellar! Summer camps continue this week with College Road Trip Week! Transportation, food, and activities are all 100% FREE, so share with any students going into 5th grade or higher!

🎉🎉🎉 Today was closing day for the Harlan Independent School District. The school year culminated in a wonderful celebration of the Green Dragon Family this morning with a breakfast provided by our fantastic cafeteria staff! We would like to thank our teachers, staff, and food services staff for their dedication to the Harlan Independent School District this year. 🏈 The Green Dragon Youth Football Camp for rising 3rd-8th graders will be Thursday, June 16th and Friday, June 17th from 5:30-8:30 pm. The camp will be $25 and any child may attend regardless of what school they attend. Go Dragons!🐉

Congratulations to Cooper Thomas, Harlan County winner of the 2021-22 "Why my Grandparent should be the AARP Kentucky Grandparent of the Year" Essay Contest sponsored by AARP Kentucky & Kentucky Retired Teachers Association. Cooper received both a certificate of award and a monetary award during HMS Awards Day Program.
