🐉💚 Congratulations to the Harlan Elementary 3rd/4th grade basketball team! They defeated WB Muncy 26-5 in their last game of the season. Micah Turner led all scorers with 10 points, followed by Colt Sullivan with 8 (two 3 pointers!). Waylon Taylor tossed in 4 points, while Anthony Sweatt and Cannan Hale contributed 2 points each.
The dragons finished with a 9-7 record, 3rd in their conference and brought home a second place trophy from the Malachi Moses Memorial Tournament. Way to go dragons! 🏀⛹🏽💚
It's The Most Wonderful Time of The Year!
The Harlan Independent School District will host the Annual Christmas Music Program on Friday, December 20th, 2024 at 9:30 AM in the Harlan High School gymnasium.
Musical selections will be performed by Harlan Elementary, Harlan Middle, and Harlan High School Choirs. In addition, listeners will also hear a medley of Christmas-themed selections by Beginner, Intermediate, High School, and the newly installed Jazz Band. Finally, a special treat will be performed by Dr. Weiner's High School Spanish class.
Oh, and don't be surprised if Santa Claus makes an appearance!!
Students, staff, and visitors are in for a true holiday treat as Directors Jeremy Bell and Betsy Burkhart highlight the spectacular musical talents of our Green Dragon students.

Recently, our 3rd and 4th graders had an unforgettable experience—they participated in a live video call with Lauren Tarshis, the amazing author of the I Survived series! 📚✨
During the call, Mrs. Tarshis shared her journey of becoming a writer, offering students a behind-the-scenes look at how she creates her thrilling stories. 🖊️ She also took time to answer questions from our curious students, sparking their imaginations and encouraging a love of reading and writing. It was such a special opportunity for our students to connect with a beloved author and learn what it takes to bring stories to life.📖🐉
