The Medical Assistant Program instructors from SKCTC came to visit Ms. Wilson’s Health & PE classes for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades. Dana Mills, Lindsey Lundy, and Leann Turner spoke with the students about basic first aid skills and how to perform the Heimlich Maneuver. Students practiced bandaging a pretend wound and also performed the Heimlich on a “Choking Charlie” mannequin. This was a great experience for them and will allow them to help others if they are ever in a situation where these skills are necessary. 🩹❤️🩹
